On November 23rd Swansea Gambia Link hosted a fundraising house party which turned out to be a huge success.
The party was held at the house of two of the committee members and was given a “Lion King” theme, which involved the house being kitted out in animal print décor, East African music playing and wildlife-themed fancy dress for the brave hearted! It was a fantastic night, with Swansea Medical students across all four years turning up and very kindly paying a small entrance fee and making contributions throughout the night in return for food and drink!
In total the committee raised over £300 from this event, which I’m sure everyone will agree is an amazing amount for such a simple event and reflects the generosity of our peers. It was a great party with a brilliant atmosphere and the committee would like to thank everyone that turned up, contributed and made it such a fantastic night.
