As part of the pathology project, a decommissioned tissue processor has been donated from the Swansea NHS Trust to the pathology department at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital. TESITO fund student visit

Funding for 3 medical students to visit The Gambia in 2005 was provided by TESITO. This charity aims to improve health in The Gambia with a particular focus on malaria. The students undertook bed net and nutritional surveys in the village of Julangel and also met with their peers in the medical school in Banjul.

THET funding

A generous sum of £2500 was awarded in June 2007 by the Tropical Health and Education Trust. This was from their Seedcorn programme to enable a team from Swansea to make a short scoping visit to Gambia in September 2007.
